Rifle shooting as a sport is decidedly on the up grade in the FortyMile Bush. Captain R. F. Wilton is representing the Maurieeville Club at the Auckland Rifle Association meeting, while the secretary (Master R. A. Wilton) has just returned from Trentham, where he made his debut on the most tricky of all ranges, and succeeded in touching money... That generous Patron to the Mauriceville Club, Mr R. Cameron, has again presented bis usual three guineas, which, together with other trophies donated by liberal tradesmen, and the Dagg challenge shield, make up a prize list that many a larger Club might" envy.
