Delightful —eather was experienced here di-rins the holiday season, and full advantage was taken of it by holiday makers, many of whom filled in their time picnicking, shooting and fishing. Haymaking is now in full swing, and very satisfactory crops are being harvested. The grass-seeding season in the South Island has as usual attracted a number of young men from this district.
