(From Our 'J. a Correspondents.) KAIPARORO. Delightful —eather was experienced here di-rins the holiday season, and full advantage was taken of it by holiday makers, many of whom filled in their time picnicking, shooting and fishing. Haymaking is now in full swing, and very satisfactory crops are being harvested. The grass-seeding season in the South Island has as usual attracted a number of young men from this district. Besides the work being alluring from a monetary point of view a good deal of enjoyment seems to be derived from the trip, and the "old hands" look forward to it as an annual outing. Mr L. Hofmeister had the misfortune to break his leg above the ankle whilst carting bay: A doctor from Eketalmna was quickly Tn attendance, and the injured limb was set. The patient is now progressing as well as can be expected. Mr and Mrs Parker .and family are on a visit to Waikanae. Mr A. Harvey has just returned from a visit to friends at Okato, New Plymouth.
