The ceilings consist of the Wunderlidi stamped steel metal, with cornices, and are of most .pleasing design. Directly at the right of . the main entrance, and facing Queen .Street, is the manager's room, which is artistically furnished with the most modern office appurtenances. A feature of this room is the installation of electric call-bells connect-
ing with-the different departments ( in the offices.' The public* counter, I which extends right across the back ■, of the public hall, is of polished heart of rimu. The main office is J also fitted up on the most up-to-date lines, with • French-polished desks and counters, and every other convenience. , The. sales department, immediately on the left of the entrance, is also well, furnished in every detail, with a view.to office convenience, and the same remark applies to the various other offices, such as-thai-auctioneers' department, seed room, iand telephone room. The wliole .fabric 'of the building has been designed from an utilitarian standpoint,,and no expense has'been spared in either the general concep-
tiori of the premises or in those finer details which go, to make the establishment replete. The architects 'for the building were Messrs; Crichtori. and; McKay (Wellington); '.'the.', contractors', Messrs Coradine and WhittakerV the plumbers, Messrs Pickering Bros.; the painters, Messrs Cole and Sons, and the plasterer Mr D.
