Our proportion of the total catalogue was 3550 bales. Buyers were strongly represented,, .and ..bidding was.brisk on, the .whole, but owing in a great measure to growers' exalted ideas .of ; values, 1 many lots had to be passed in, growers.not appreciating fully the poor condition of their clips. Prices for skirtings and rough and ooarse crossbreds were distinctly lower than at November sales, but all the better sort of crossbred showed little difference in values. Halfbrods were rather poorly represented, many of the lots offered by us being of only medium description. Wo obtained some good prices for light, well grown Romney, viz.,lod. to 10£ d. ' , • Our'wool was displayed in the Company's large new stores on Tho'rridon Quay, and growers and) buyers united 'in expressing their J keen appreciation of the up-to-date j premises and the manner in .which' the wool was shown.
