UPPER PLAIN RAINFALL.
Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at the Upper Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Sunday last was 3 points, and for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Wednesday, 26 points. Rain fell on twelve days in December. Maximum I fall in 24 hours, 1.48 inches on 10th; • minimum, 1 point on 17i\h; total for month, 3.24 inches; average for December, 2.81 inches. ; Total for -the year, 40J inches, ■as against- 48.98; 51,32, '40,84, 54,19, 33.89, and, 37,45inches in the years 1904, 1905, 1906, 1907, 1908, and 1909, the average being 44£ inches.
