LEVIN AND CO.'S REPORT.

Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report:— The third sale of the season was held to-day (Tuesday), in the Wellington town' Hall, when the Com'bined Brokers submitted a catalogue of 23,000 bales, our offering consisting of 4700 bales. > There was the usual satisfactory attendance of buyers. The wool offered was lighter in condition than usual for • this time of year, but much of it was tender, hoggets more particularly so. Our catalogue contained many good parcels, representative of the best clips.of the province, and these elicited strong competition on a day which was not noted for the keenness of the bidding. Compared with November sale, prices for best wool were almost on a par, and the same may be said of medium, crossbreds. Inferior, heavy and dingy wools declined r>d per lb. Messrs Dalgety and Co. report that j the third sale of the season was held in the Town Hall yesterday, when/ a total'of 22,700 bales was offered by ■■ the Associated Brokers, of which they 'headed the lisVwith 7,571-bales.
