SHOOTING ACCIDENT.

'...-. ; • A serious shooting accident happened to a little girl named Thompson, whose parents reside in North Street, Feilding, It appeals that she was spending a holiday at Sandon, and while another person was handling a revolver it suddenly exploded and the bullet entered the left breast, penetrating the lung and lodging in the ribs. The child was removed to the Palmerston hospital, where Dr. Martin extracted the bullet at the back. The little sufferer, though in a critical state, is holding her own and doing as well as can be expected.
