THE YEAR'S RETURNS. (Received Last Night, 9.40 o'clock.) SYDNEY, December 30. The bankruptcy returns for the year just ended show thai during the year 352 petitions were presented, of which 239 were voluntary sequestrations. The total liabilities amounted to £176,088, and the assets to £119,376, a deficiency of £56,712. During the previous year there were 381 petitions, with liabilities amounting to £168,169, and assets £82,563.
