TIMARU HARBOUR IMPROVEMENTS.
TIMARU, Last Night. An important development of the shipping facilities here was marked to-day, when the new wharf, with a berthage capacity for four vessels, and costing £21,000, was used for the first time. The. harbour was gay with bunting, and the chairman of the Harbour Board entertained all the captains in port (seven) in honour of the occasion.
