BIBLE TERCENTARY.

ITS COMMEMORATION

(Received Last Night, 9.25 o'clock.)

LONDON, December* 29

The commemoration of the tercentenary of the Bible commences in Great Britain on March 26th. The actual date of publication has not been discovered, but the date has been chosen so as not to interfere with the Coronation festivities. The Canadian celebrations will be held in February, and the United States in April.

(Early in the middle ages translations of portions of the Bible from the Greek were rendered into many of the western languages. Complete Gorman versions existed as early as the first half of the Fourteenth Century.)
