KING TIES FOR CHAMPIONSHIP LOSES ON THE SHOOT-OFF. OiAKI WINS THE TEAmo MATCH. By Telegraph — Press Association. sWANGANUI, Last Night, The Wanganui Rifle Association's annual meeting was concluded today, in fine weather. A light steady wind was blowing, and shooting conditions were good. The Wellington Match, ten shots at 800 yards, was won by Sergeant DavieS, of Taranaki, with a score of, 49. He takes £4. Corporal Given (City Rifles), Corporal Hunt (Zealandia Rifles), and Rifleman Hyde (Opaki), scored 48, and take £2 10s, and £1 10s respectively. Rifleman Winslade (Opaki) was amongthose who won £l. The Masterton Match, ten shots at 600 yards, was won by itifleman Jenkins (Okato), with 49, and ho takes £4. Rifleman Jones (Opaki) wins £2 10s, with 48; Captain Balkrop (Manchester Rifles),' 355, 48; Lieut. Hollard (Hutt) 20s, 48; Rifleman Marshall (Karori), 20s, 48; Rifleman Guy (Kaponga)', Rifleman • Lowin (Opaki), Banks''(Kimbolton), Jarvis (Taradale), Darrell (Akarana), Atkinson (Auckland), uxacken (Himrtangi), and Duffie (Christchurch)also took £l., The Manawatu Match, ten shots at 800 yards, was won by Rifleman Daniel! Daniell also scored three more than Cameron. Hunt is an eighteen-year-old boy. He is an ex-member of the Wanganui Defence Cadets. As a tyro in 1909 he ivon the belt open to his company, beating some of the firstclass shots. The Last Try Match, seven shots at 500 yards, was won by Allen (Wanganui), 35; Jarvis (Taradale), Bairstow (Opaki), and Mcintosh (Opaki), being the other placed men, with a similar score. ■ , . The Teams Match was won by Opaki No. 1, with 475 points, for the fifth year in succession. Taradale 473, Petone and Wanganm Rifles 461, were the next in order.
