EKETAHUNA SALE.

EKETAHUNA', Last Night. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report on their fortnightly sale, held at Eketahuna yesterday, as follows: —We submitted • a fair yarding of cattle. Only one pen of sheep came forward. Cattle were in- good demand ,and we managed to quit the bulk of our entry. Wo quote:— : Sheep: Forward ewes, 10s 6d ; fat •-. v cows, 115s; store cows, 605,. 70s to 81s; yearling heifers, 60s to 70s; yearling steerfj, «5Qs to 60s; weaners, pigs, lis, j Messrs Abrahattl and Williams, ■ Ltd., report on their Eketahuna stock sale ,held yesterday, as follows:- Entries came forward in excess of advertised numbers, 600 sheep and a large yarding of cattle being offered. The sheep consisted mainly of two-tooth ewes which had been on the road for some days, for which there was no enquiry. We _ experienced a. very good enquiry for cattle, all classes selling readily under the hammer at advanced rates, and in most cases in excess of vendors' anticipations. Quotations:—. Grown bullocks, £6 to £6 8s; twoyear steers, £4 9s; yearling steers, £3 7s; cows and calves, £3 lis to £5 ; store cows, £3 12s 6d to £3 17s; fat heifers, light, £4 5s to £4 15s; eighteen month . empty heifers, £2 ISs 6d to £3 lis,-.springing heifers, £4 2s 6d to £5 2s 6d; weaner heifers, 34s 6d; weaner steers, 37s 6d; two-year empty dairy heifers, goon, £4 2s to. £4 10s; 2-tooth ewes, 12s; weaner pigs; 9s. to 15s for extra good lot.
