THREE MILLION PEOPLE AFFEGTED.
APPEAL FOR ASSISTANCE
(Received Last Night, 10 o'clock.) PEKIN, December 22. The famine in the Northern Kaingsu and Antrim districts,is unabated. Three million c.t the inhabitants are affected by the shortage of food. The international committee at Shanghai has appealed for £200,000 to assist the sufferers. It is unable to give relief on account of the lack of funds.
