The "B" grade team from the Masterton Tennis Club met a team from the Master-ton Y.M.C.A. Club on the Masterton courts yesterday afternoon, but owing to rain interfering play had to be stopped at about 5 o'olo n k. Five of the singles were played, Masterton winning by three sets to two, and 42 games to 29. '' he completed singles resulted as follows, Masterton players being mentioned first in each instance— J. W. Cordon lost to W. Hendry, 9.-8; C. N. Haslam lost to J. B. Rue 9-8; W. Drummond beat A. Thompson, 9—B; Carley Smith heat Nevins, 9—o; Claridge Smith beat D. Hebenton, 9—3. The match will be finished early in the new year.
