Polling takes place to-day at Wick and in two Irish constituencies, where the Redmondites are expected to be elected, and these complete the election. HOME RULE. MINISTERS' PLEDGES. (Received Last - lght, 10.20 o'clock.) LONDON, December 20.
Mr J. Dillon, M.P., speaking at Ballaghaderreen, County of Roscommon, Ireland, stated that tho Minister.,', pledges of Home Rule could not be improved. He believed them to be honest, though all his life he had warned the people against, placing reliance on the pledges of English Ministers: Though made with the best of intentions, it might be made impossible to redeem those pledges. Ireland must rely upon a united party and united country to hold the Government to its pledges.
