ESCAPE OF PRISONERS.

GREYMOUTH, Last Night. • Alfred i. ryor and William Newton, who are serving sentences of six and two and a half years respectively, for a jewellery robbery at Groymouth, escaped from the lock-up at 7.35 last .night. The police search, up to the present, has been abortive. Reports received state that two men. answering the description of the prisoners were seen at Teremokau at mid-day to-day.
