HOLIDAY FATALITIES.
By some strange, inscrutable dispensation of Providence, the holiday season in this Dominion is generally marred by tragedy. Already a long list of accidents and fatalities is recorded, and what the next few days will. bring forth, nobody can portend. It would seem as if it were necessary, in the exhilarations of our pleasure-seeking, that we shouldbe reminded of the exceeding uncertainty of existence.
