Gloomy and rainy weather has prevailed, especially over the North Island, with northerly and easterly winds, strong to gale, in parts. The barometer has fallen everywhere. Present indications are for westerly winds strong to gale northward of Kawhia and East Cape, and high northerly winds elsewhere. Rain and misty weather is probable generally, and rivers flooded in parts.
