PAHIATUA.
The Dannevirke bowlers played a match with Pahiatua on Wednesday for the Dixon Cup, at Pahiatua. The visiting team was as follows: —J. Fahey, G. u. Bartlett and F. W. Hawkins, skip, and the Pahiatua team—W. Hawkins, Hosson, Mcßratney, Wakeman, skip. The game resuited in Pahiatua, the present holders, winning by 18 points to 11. Mrs Mcßratney provided refreshments, assisted by some Pahiatua ladies.
