' Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have'received the following cablegram from their London house under date of the 6th inst : "Sales closed firm and active with brisk competition, as compared with closing rates at last series, Merino wools of good quality and condition unchanged. Merino wools of other descriptions 5 per cent lower. Crossbred wools, greasy, unchanged; scoured, 5 per cent, higher; shped crossbred wools, 5 per cent, higher. The total net quantity available for sale amounting to 120,000 bales disposed of as under—Sold for Home consumption, 52,000 bales; sold to the Continent, 60,000 bales, ndt offered, 3000; and carried forward for the January-sales, 8000." LONDON SHEEPSKIN SALES. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cable from their London house under date December 7th:— "Sheepskins sales opened with good attendance of buyers. Merino, good, par to Jd lower; crossbrecls, prices unchanged."
