HOME MARKET. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house:— "Wheat sold at 35s IOJd c.i.f., Australian cargo. Market steady; Very little demand owing to decreased supplies. Outlook uncertain." EKETAHUNA STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and . Williams, Ltd., report on their Eketahuna sale, held yesterday, as follows :—The yarding was not a large one, but the cattle pens were fairly well filled. The entry of sheep was confined to weth-
ers, dry ewes, and ewes and lambs, for which there was a good enquiry, and bidding at auction was animated. Cattle also sold well, young dairy heifers and steers of any description being keenly sought after. Quotations :—Two-tooth wethers, 12s Id; shorn ewes and lambs (all counted), 8s Id; forward ewes, 10s; yearling steers, £3 to £3 4s; mixed steers, with a few cull bullocks, £3 6s; yearling heifers, £3.2s to £0 10s, and as low as £2 for small late calves; bulls £3 to £5 17s 6d; weaner pigs, 10s to 15s.
