THE COLOUR LINE. Received Last Night, 11.50 o'clock. LONDON, December 8. The Daily Chronicle's Johannesburg correspondent states that the Dutch are attempting f .o amend the marriage Bill before the Union Parliament, in the direction of forbidding the marriage of whites with the coloured race. The heads of the Anglican and Roman Catholic churches declare that If the amendment is carried they will continue to solemnise mixed marriage?. The Dutch Church is promoting a Private Bill to amalgamate the sections of the Church, and including a clause that coloured members at the Cape will lose their membership if they emigrate northwards.
