APPOINTMENTS AND VOTES. TENDERS DEALT WITH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. A3r R. B. Vincent, assistant F.ecretary and acountant to (he Treasury, is retiring. Mr MowLray is to be promoted to the position of accountant, and Mr Gibbs to' the position of chief clerk in the Treasury. Mr L. B. Wilson, of the Railway Department, has been appointed a Judge of the Native Land Court. Cabinet has authorised the following votes—Enlargement of Huntly school, £440; new wharf at Pictor, £2000; Westport-Inangahua railway, £1000; Kawakawa-Urahams-town railway, £5600; Coal Creek railway extension, £4000; TaurangaTe Puke railway, £1500; road constructions improvements, etc., throughout the Dominion, £12,921. Tenders have been accepted for the Shannon post office, Nuhaka river bridge, additions to the Morrinsvjfle police station, Welisford police station, "Matala post office, JohnsonVille police station, Riverton post office, Parnell police station, pontoons for the Kumara water-race, extensions of 'i'aupo {ost office, additions to the Courthouse at Westport. Tenders are to be invited for the Hamilton East post office, and a new hostel at Mount Cook.
