AMERICAN OFFER TO LLOYD GEORGE. Received December 5, 9.13 a.m. LONDON, December 4. Lord Ampthil, in a,speech at Finstury, referring to the American offer to Mr Lloyd George, said there was a time when such an insult to a Minister of the-Crown would have been regarded as a national insult. ('J'-vo New York music hall proprietors offered Mr Lloyd George £IOOO sterling weekly to ; promote a transatlantic campaign against the' Lords, speaking twice daily on the lines of his Limehouse speech.
