THE BOROUGH WATER.

(To the Editor.)

Sir,—During the past week the water which has been issuing through pipes at my residence, lias been simply undrinkablc. It possesses a very disagreeable odour, and the taste is. abominable. 1 should like to know if other people are suffering the same infliction. If they are, is it not time that steps were taken to remedy things.—l am, etc., "AQUA PURA." [We understand that the objectionable taste in the water is caused by decaying vegetation, which is peculiar at this time of the year. Though very unpalatable, the water does not contain anything deleterious.—Ed. Age.]
