WAIRARAPA CALEDONIAN SOCIETY

MEETING OF DIRECTORS, A meeting of Directors of'the Wairarapa Caledonian Society was held in the Dominion tiall on Saturday last, Mr A. McLeod, president, in the chair. Apologies were received from several Directors on account of attending other meetings held at the same time. / It was decided to lend the Amateur Athletic Club the material applied for by them on the same terms as on the last occasion. It was also decided that the handicappers for the Amateur Athletic Association should handicap for all the amateur events. The appointment of judges for the p ! ping events was held over, and left in the hands of the president and Mr Pauling to deal with. The Kev. Dean McKenna and Messrs T. P. Lett, Donald McKenzie, Spring Hill, were appointed judges for the wrestling, putting stone, tossing caber, vaulcing, and jumping events. It was decided to extend the time for closing nominations until Wednesday, 14th, handicaps to be declared on or about the 21st, and acceptances to close on Wednesday, the 28th, at 9 p.m. It was decided to sell the privileges by auction on Saturday, the 17th inst, at 330 p.m., and Air J. A. J. McLean. %A3 appointed auctioneer. Action in resrect to the pipe band was deferred to a fuller meeting, to be called for Saturday, the 17th/ inst.
