Since my lufei "Tifc Bits," the local green has been well imtronizod, and a large number of matches played. The competitions are being filtered into with great interest, and members seem disposed to get their matches off to time. TJamb (S) 13. ****** The Masterton' contingent of four rinks did very well in the "Centre" match between Wellington and Wairarapa, winning three of its four matches. The only other win was scored by one of the three Carterton rinks. The representative rinks from Greytown ,(2) and Featherston (1), ■all suffered '(.defeat; The,,.'.aggregate scores were:' Wellington 222, Wairarapa 168. ****** Half the >. Masterton,.,;, contingent above mentioned played r a friendly match with the Newtown club's representatives, . and 'spent a most enjoyable time. The Newtownites, however, won both matches by an aggregate majority of 10 points. •..•***** In the Dixon Cup match, to be played at Pahiatua on Saturday next, Masterton will be represented.by W. Pragnell, E. J. Rose, W. Reed' and 0. Pragnell (skip). The task ahead of these bowlers is a formidable one, but it is anticipated" that the game will be strenuously contested.
