TARANAKI SHOW.

GOOD DISPLAY OF CATTLE.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) j New Plymouth, Last Night. At the Taranaki Agricultural Society's Metropolitan Show, the strongest section in the show was probably the fat cattle, the'judge stating that he had never seen better in the Dominion. These were exhibited by Mr W. Birdling, of Waitara. Jerseys were also a record section, both in point of numbers and of quality, whilst rarely in the province has there been a better selection of Ayrshires and Holsteins. The judges of light horses were immensely •with the carriage and hunters' classes and ponies, but draughts were not a strong selection, whilst thoroughbreds were few.
