STRATFORD A. AND P. SHOW.

Entries for tlio Stratford Show continue to come in freely. Up to Saturday last large entries were received in the dog section. Hie first consignment of stock for the show, comprising forty stud sheep have arrived in Stratford, and are being accommodated on Mr Dingle's property until show dates. In horses, including thoroughbreds, light and weightcarrying hacks, ladies hacks, draughts, carriage horses, hunters and ponies, all classes give splendid promise of being well-filled. Ponies will be prominent at the show, the contingent from Stratford being a large batch in themselves. There will be several competitions for these midget horses, the riders being both boys and girls. From the number of' horses entering in the hunters' competitions, maiden hunters, hunters (open), and hunters steeplechase, the public should enjoy a fine exhibition of jumping. In the pedigree cattle sections remarkably good entries are being received in Jerseys, Holsteins, Ayrshires and Shorthorns. In these and other cattle classes some magnificent animals will be exhibited. Pedigree dairy stock and other dairy cattle will be a strong feature of the show, this object being aimed at by the executive when compiling the schedule. To dairy farmers the show should be of great interest and educational value. While making the show of great value as possible to the dairy farmer and the breeding of stock generally, the Association are seeing to it that a very enjoyable outing will also be provided for the younger members of families. To this end provision will J>e made as far (as possible to make the outing on ' both days much in the nature of a picnic. A number of very interesting sideshows have booked space 011 the ground for both davs.
