THE RUAMAHANGA BRIDGE.

A PETONE TENDER AC'JEPTED. U;e Featherston County Council, at their meeting in Martinborough Wednesday accepted provisionally the tender of Mr D. Burke, of Petone, for the. construction of the new bridge over tbe Ruamahanga rivfer, on the Main Road between Featherston and Martinborough. The bridge will be 765 ft in total length, and will be the first long bridge of reinforced concrete in the Wairarapa. The contract price was £8650, The designer ia Mr Laing-Meason, M.1.C.E., of Wellington.
