OAMARU'S "TAM."
Oanuiru, like Mastertoil, rejoices in the possession of No-license and an ex-Minister of the Crown as a Par-J liamentary representative. Both of tlie latter are followers of the Government, and both occasionally distin- , guish themselves by their inane political utterances. Oamaru and Masterton have been crossing swords of late, and their exchanges of compliments have been as undignified as they are ludicrous. Possibly "Tam" > Duncan, being the senior of the two, • is the worst offender. If he does ■ not show actual signs of senile decay, he at anyrate displays a ehild- - ishness which should be a disqualification in any person charged with ' the sacred duty of framing the legislation of the country. ■ Oamaru should think seriously whether it [ shoulu not give "Tam" an airing. A season of retirement in the free- - hold recesses of Bushy Park might have a revivifying effect.
