HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. The Commerce and Tourists division ot ! the Department ei ; Agriculture, Commerce'and Tourists, has received from the High .Commissioner, for New Zealand the 'following cabled market report, dated November oth. (Quotations ''.unless otherwise specified, are average market prices on spot):— Mutton.—Small business doing and prices weak in the market. Nominally no change in prices. Cantered, North Island 4d per lb, ' Lamb.—The season has ended, and prices are nominal. Beef.—The market is quiet. New Zealand hinds 3£d, fores 2UI per lb. Hatter. —The market is over-stock-ed and" depressed. Retailers arc using stocks ■from cold store. "Boars" arc very strong.. Choicest New Zealand butter to-day is 109s per cwt, Australian 106s, Danish 113s, Siberian 102s. Cheese.—The market is quiet but steady. Canadian 57s per cwt. Hemp.—The market is weak and inactive on account of Manila offerings being very large. No change in. prices, viz.:—New Zealand good fair, on spot, per ton, £24 10s; New Zealand fair grade, £2l 10s; fair current Manila, £2l. Forward shipment:—New Zealand good fair, £24 10s; New Zealand fair grade, £2l 10s; fair current Manila, £2O ss. The output from Manila for the week was 81,000 bales.
