PALMEKSTON HOUSE SALE. (By Telegraph—Special to the Age.) PALMERSTON K, Last Night. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows: —At our horse sale at Palmerston North on Saturday, sth inst., we offered 200 head, consisting principally of light to heavy draughts and spring carters. Bidding for all classes throughout the sale was brisk, and very few lots went out unsold. Heavy draughts sold up to £49, medium draughts to £<>o 10s, light draughts to £3O, unbroken light draughts to £26, unbroken spring carters up to £2O. A consignment from Mr Norman Kirkcaldie, of Levin, Mere a good lot, the heavy draughts making from £4l 15s to £49; the unbroken light draughts from £22 10s to £36; unbroken spring carters £l7 5s to £2O. Mr R. D. McKnight also had a good lot forward, every lot selling readily under the hammer, the heaviest making up to £4O, and the light draughts from £29 to £3O 15s; spring carters up to £26. The unbroken Shetland ponies from Barber's Estate also sold readily, making from £7 10s to £9 ss; harness cobs from £8 15s to £l4 ; light hacln from £7 to £lB 15s.
