o NEW CLASSESINSEKTED. a The Egmont A. and P. Association have this year inserted in their schedule a full dog programme arranged under New Zealand Club rules. Every class of dog is catered for, from the St. Bernards and deerhounds, to the household toy terrier. Special covered-in accommodation is being provided for the dogs, and an outside judge has been appointed. Exhibitors wiT have every care and attention paid [to their dogs. The Committee will make fpecial arrangements for meeting the dogs consigned to their care for exhibition and will despatch them to their destination after the show is over. . The sheep classes are a strong feature of this Society's schedule. Farmers fortunately on this side of the coast have not felt the want of rain like their neighbours on the East Coast. Classes are provided for all purebred sheep and a challenge trophy is offered for most points in these sections. A points prize is offered for English Leicester rams, and £5 5s as a points prize for Border Leicester rams. Championship prizes of £2 2s are given for champion ram in eadi breed. The fat sheep classes are always a popular class of the Hawera Show, and added interest is given to these classes this year, a silver challenge cup being offered for most points gaine.i in these classes. Free copies of prize list giving details of all calsses are still obtainable from the secretary, Mr F. G. Trebeek, at ■ Hawera.
