NEW ZEALAND FORECAST.

WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast are as follow:
Fresh southerly winds have prevailed northward of Hokitika and Kaikoura, and westerlies in the Far South-, hut light variable winds elsewhere, and drizzling showers have fallen northward of Gisborne and Raglan, but the weather has been fair elsewhere except in the Foveaux Straits. The barometei' has fallen slightly in the North. The present indications are for strong easterly and south-easterly winds northward of New Plymouth and Castlepoint, and easterly winds backing to northerly elsewhere. Soon rain is probable northward of NewPlymouth and Napier, and there is increasing haziness and humidity preceding a change elsewhere. Expect rain in most parts within three days; barometer fall everywhere.
