BRITISH POSTAL RETURNS.
(Received Last Night, 1.1 o'clock LONDON, November 3.
The Post Office report shows that during the year it handled 5,000,000,000 packets, including 3,000,000,000 letters and 866,000,000 postcards. There is a tendency for the number of letters to decrease, owing to the use of telepiiones.
