MEW ZEALAND FORECAST.

WELLINGTON, Last Night,
The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast are as follow: —
The weather has been cold and stormy in the' southernmost districts, and strong westerly and .southerly winds have been experienced in other parts. Rain has fallen iu parts of the North Island and on the west coast and southernmost districts of the South Island, but fair weather lias been experienced to-day. The barometer has risen fast in the south, but remained steady in the north.
Present indications are for a rising barometer and probably very high everywhere. Unsettled and showery weather and some local thunderstorms will probably precede more settled conditions. Moderate to strong southerly winds are expected generally.
