WELLINGTON, Last Night
The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast are as follow: The weather was stormy about Foveaux Strait on Saturday morning, hut fair elsewhere, with a high barometer everywhere. Pressure decreased in the South early on Sunday, and mild and cloudy weather prevailed, but with freshening northerlies, especially in and South of Cook Strait.
Present indications are for high westerly winds, veering to southerlies shortly in all parts of the country. Rain is probable generally and a. cold-snap is likely to follow with snow on higher levels and frosts inland. The barometer v. ill probably rise everywhere *oc:;.
