WELLINGTON LAND BOARDS.
LAST WEEK'S MEETING. The following were among the cases dealt with at the Wellington Land Board's meeting last week : Mr L D. Carev applied to transfer Section 52, Block XVI, Makun, to Mr Oliver Holland. It was resolved to approve the transfer. Mr G. Dunn applied to transfer Sections 7 and 4, Block VI, Aohaiiga to Mrs M. Sorenson. It was resolved to decline on account of aggregation. Messrs Ellingham and Georgetti dissented. Messrs Non-ell, Tosswill, and Murray applied to transfer Section 11, Block IV, Retaruke, to Messrs John Kidd, Tosswill, and Murray. It was, resolved to approve. Mr J. M. Mackenzie ,i..vi.vd to transfer Section:s7, liiock IV, Mount Cerberus, .to Mr Win. Holdem. It was resolved to approve, the Commissioner and Mr Dawson dissenting. Mr T. M'Miillen appli>;l to transfer Sections 16, 17, 18, 19, Rakaunui V.S., to Mr R, B. Robertson. It was resolved to approve, the 'Commissioner dissenting. With reference to the transfer of Section-o, Block IV, Tararua, fro'i' Mr H. P. Bright well to Mr R. Bartosh, the Commissioner reported that Mr Bartosh was the holder of 210 acres in addition to the 200 acres now being''applied'for, 'making 410 acres in all. It was resolved to rpprove under the circumstances.
The Pnhiiitiui County Council iccommendod that thirds from Sections 9 and 2, Blocks 111 and XVI, Makuri, should he handed over to the Woodville* County Council for expenditure on the road to Section 1, Block XVT. The ranger having reported that the natural access to the sections Mas through Wobdville County, the board resolved that the Hon. the Minister's approval be obtained for the payment of all thirds to the Woodville County Council. Amount now accrued, £lO5 18s 5d..
The Eketahuna County Council submitted proposals for the expenditure of 'thirds accrued to April 30th, 1910. The ranger's report being favourable, the board approved the proposals. Amount approved, £255 10s 2d.
Mr T. J. Wliittc, lessee of Section 47, ' Block XIT, Mount Cerberus, wrote .stating that lie is living on the same in a bush camp, but may have to leave at any time to undergo an operation. It was ■•esol/cd to take no further action for a month. Mr W. G. Waterson, jun., wrote with reference to his non-residence on Section -I, Block V, mid stated that he has now made a start with his house, and would he residing therein in three week's time. It was resolved to-grant him until December 31st to take Up bona fide residence.
