ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.

ROTORUA, Last Night. At the Magistrate's Court to-day, John A. Taylor, of To Puke, was charged with attempting to commit suicide on the 25th inst. The bullet had entered his forehead above the aye, and injured that member. Accused has had financial worries, and feared he was going to lose land. He began drinking, and committed the act while under, the influence of drink, and realised fully that ho was taking his own life. The Magistrate convicted him, and ordered him to come up for sentence when called upon, and pay the costs of the prosecution, totalling £lO lis. The- Magistrate ordered a prohibition order to be taken out against Taylor.
