A CLOUD BURST.
MUCH DAMAGE DONE,
TWO FAMILIES BURIED ALIVE,
Received October 25, 10 a..m. NAPLES, October 24. There was a cloudburst on Mount Vesuvius, resulting in loss of life and much damage. Torrents of water and mud flowed down the mountain s'.de on to Torre del Greco. Two families were buried alive. Five of the bodies have been recovered. Several districts in Salerno suffered. Railways were damaged,, and telegraph lines broken.
SEVERAL PERSONS DROWNED
Received Last Night, 10.40 o'clock NAPLES, October 25.
Floods have invaded the Cetara fishing vilage, killing twelve oi' the inhabitants. A hurricane of floods of mud and boulders followed tht cloud burst. At Casa Micciola and Ischia, a dozen peasants were killed,, while there are a number of casualties on the slopes at Monte Nicola. The population of Paecoamento are homeless, and many are drowned.
