WHEN WILL IT END?
There are not wanting signs that members of the House are getting weary of the session, and they are asking when the closing day, will arrive. There arc many important measures yet to be considered. The Land Bill and the Licensing Bill are not likely to become law without considerable amendment. There is also the Gaming Bill, Land and Income Tax Bill, Electoral Bill, Crown Suits Bill, Native Rating Bill, Harbours Bill, and others. There will have to be a "slaughtering of the innocents" if the session is to close by the end of November. The Public Works Statement, it is expected, will be brought down to-morrow, li members are pliable, and the pruning knife is freely used, members may have a chance of getting to their homes bv the middle of November.
