WELLINGTON WOOL. SKIN AND HIDES "SALES.

Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Dalgety and Co., Ltd., New Zealand Loan and ■Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows regarding Friday's sales:— Wool.—What little wool there was sold at current rates. We quote :—Crossbred, Gkl to lambs' wool, 6-Jd to 8d; pieces and bellies, 4d to s£d; locks, 2-£ dto 4kl; dead wool, 6Jd to 8d; crutchings, 4d to 6d.

Skins.—Dry skins, in sympathy with London, were fully a halfpenny down, in some cases even tlireefarthings per lb, but green skins held their own fairly well. We quote:—Fine crossbreds, 7fd to 8d; medium crossbreds, 7d to 7fd; coarse crossbreds, 6d to 7d; dead hoggets, 5d to 6d; lambskins, s£d to 6Jd; quarter to half wools, 4£d to 5Jd; dry pelts, 2id to 4d; green skins, 5s 2d to 7s lOd; spring lambs, 8d to Is 3d.

Tallow showed a further rise. Parcels in shipping order £3O; tins, £23 to £2B ss; rough fat, £ls to £2O.

Horsehair.—ls to Is 8d per lb. Horns.—ss to 19s per'hundred. Cowtails.—ls 5d per dozen. Hides.—Ox hides showed a substantial rise, but cows and kips sold at last sales' prices. Calfskins were firm at last sales' prices. We 'quote:—Ox hides, heavy, 7d to 7|d; ox hides, medium, GJd to 6|d; ox hides, light, to 6^d; cow hides, ojd to 6fd; cut and slippy' hides, 3d to sid; stag hides, 4d to 5Jd; bull hides, 4d to s}d; yearlings, 5d to 6|d; calf best, 9d to 9-{jd; calf medium, 7j-d to Sjcl; calf cut and slippy, 4Jd to Gd.
