THE CORNWALL DEPOSITS. Received Last Night, 9.50 o'clock. LONDON. October 20. Sir William Ramsay, the eminent chemist, confirms the Evening Standard's statement regarding the Cornish pitch blende fields. Be gives the assurance that the yield is continuous, and that a supply of at least 500 milligrams monthly for years can be obtained. He adds that the present world's supply does not. exceed five grammes. Ihe extraction of the radium will occupy a couple of months, while formerly the process two years. Pitch blende is a black velvety mineral found in certain parts of Austria and Cornwall. Various valuable substances, including radium, are obtained from this mineral.
