CUBA VISITED BY A CYCLONETHOUSANDS OF PERSONS HOMELESS. Received October 19, 9 a.m. HAVANA, October JB. Cuba has been visited by a disastrous cyclone. Thousands of persons are homeless and destitute. The crops have been destroyed. International help may be required. A tidal wave partially submerged Havana, causing damage to the exten of a million dollars. FLOODS IN FLORIDA.
Received October 19, 10 a.m. NEW YORK, October 18. Simultaneously with the floods in Havana, the town of St. Agustine, Florida, was inundated. DEAD AND INJURED. Received October 19, 11 a.m. NEW YORK, October 18. One hundred persons were killed, and hundreds injured, and the damage is estimated at millons of pounds, as a result of the hurricane in the West Indies. At Havana the inhabitants are panic-stricken.
