N.S.W. ELECTIONS.
MR, M'GOWEN'S SUCCESS. (Received October 18, 8.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, October 18. The Sydney Morning Herald, in accounting for Mr. M'Gowe.n's victory at the polls, says the steadily increasing Labour vote was enormously accentuated from outside, particularly from the Liquor interest. Liquor, says the paper, appears to have voted solidly for Labour, as Labour appears to have voted solidly for Liquor. MR. WADE WILL RESIGN. (Rec. This Morning, 12.45 o'clock.) .SYDNEY, October 18. After a Cabinet meeting to-day, Mr. G. C. Wade (the Premier) stated that when some few remaining election returns were received, the Cabinet would- hand its resignation to the Governor.
