LONDON MARKETS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date 4th instant:—London Wool Sales : As compared with' last sales' closing rates, prices are about the same for Fine greasy crossbred, faulty wool, higher about par to 5 per cent, for crossbred slipe. Coarse greasy crossbred and merino: Higher about 5 per cent, for crossbred scoured. Market quieter for crossbred wool.

PAHIATUA HORSE FAIR

Messrs. Abraham t'.r.d Williams, Ltd., Pahiatua, report on their spring horse fair as follows.:— We had a large .vntry for our fair, horses coming for.varu right up to advertised numbers. There was a large attendance of buyers from the surrounding district, Wairarapa, and the Manawatu, and out of the 140 horses yarded we have to report a highly successful sale, and a good clearance at undermentioned prices:—• ■Draughts, broken.—3 find 4-year-old geldings, £2O, £2l, £3l 10s., to £3B; -5 and 6-year-old geldings, £l3 10s., £l4, £2l 10s. : aged geldings, £lO, i.±l 10s., £l3 10s., to £ls 10s.; aged mares, £9 - s., £lO, £lB 10s., £22 10s., to £32; 5 and 6-year mares, £l4, £26, £26 10s., to £33; fillies to £33 10s.

Hacks and' Harness Horses, broken. —Aged harness mares, £5, £6, £9 10s.; fillies,' broken to harness, £l6, £lB, £22; hacks, £5 55., £6 55., £7, £l3'ss., £l4, £24 10s., to £32. Fillies, unbroken.—£3, £3 10s., £0 15s. £9„ £l6, td £26 10s. Geldings, unbroken. —£10 155., £l2, £3O 15s.
