DAIRY WORKERS.

THE NEW AWARD. ' The Secretary of the Dairy Workers' Union has supplied the Manawatu Times with the following particulars regarding the new award:— ] The award comes into force on Mon- j day, 10th, and will remain in force, for at least three years. The principal changes are as follows:—The minimum wage for creamery managers is £2 55., with the usual allowances; the minimum wage in the factories, £2 2s. The hours of work in butter factories not to exceed GO hours per week from October 1 till March 31, and 30 for the rest of the year. The minimum wage in the old award for creamery managers was £2, and the lowest wage in factories £1 17s. 6d. The hours before were 70 for butter factories. The Union's application for preference has not been granted.
