SETTLEMENT OF COTTON DISPUTE. Received Cctoter 7, 1.20 p.m. LUNDON. October 6. A settlement has been arrived at in the Lancashire cotton trade dispute, and the lock-out has been declared at an end. 'ihe seven hundred mills, which were closed, will be re-opened. STRIKE AT ADELAIDE. Received October 7, 11.50 a.m. ADELAIDE, October 7. The labourers at the Government Freezing v Works struck for an increase of 12s a week. As there were 1600 sheep in the yard, the demand was granted, and work has been resumed. PERTH TRAM STRIKE. received October 7, 11.SO a.m. PERTH, October 7. The recent tiam ftrike cost the Labour authorities £2OOO. MEN'S PLACES FILLED. Received October 7, 11.50 a.m. LATINCKSTON, October 7. The place 3 of the men on the tramway permanent way who struck for ncrea>.ed pay have been filed. CONCILIATION PROPOSALS ACCEPTED.
