A PAHIATUA CASE.
SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT. At the Supreme Court, Wellington, on Wednesday, judgment was given by Mr Justice Cooper in a case in which the Official Assignee appealed against a decision by District Judge Haselden at Pahiatua in favour of Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., in regard to the bankrupt estate of Frank Fukher, heing a motion to declare certain payments made by bankrupt within three months of his bankruptcy, fraudulent preferences. The appeal was allowed in respect of the largest amount attacked, being a sum of £245 Is 6d. Mr Skerrett, K.C., and Mr D. K. Logan appeared for the Official Assignee, and Mr Myers and Mr G. H. Smith for respondents. No costs were allowed.
